In the presence of God

Psalm 145:14-21

The Lord is near to all who call to him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him.

When you kneel in prayer, God is with you. The bible is very clear about this, He is near to all who call on him in truth, writes the psalmist. Therefore, when you pray, you find yourself in the presence of God.

Lewis Smedes wrote a phenomenal book called, ‚ÄúEverything is Alright, Even Though everything is wrong.‚ÄĚ In order to put everything right in your wrong world, it is necessary for you to linger in the presence of God. He writes, ”If you experience God’s presence, then you¬†know that everything is alright in your life, at that moment, as well as in every moment that follows. Deep inside you, you will know that¬†God is holding you, and you will know that everything is alright, even though everything seems wrong”

When you pray, you have the assurance that the God who has created the world, and who preserves it every day, is holding you.

He¬†knows all there is to know about you, and still loves you. He only wants the best for you, so you can rest assured that when you kneel down in prayer, you are in the presence of God, WE are celebrating God’s Faithfulness! 50 years in the presence of God!
