Luke 22:31-32(MSG) Simon, stay on your toes. Satan had tried his best to separate all of you from Me, like chaff from wheat. Simon, I’ve prayed for you in particular that you will not give in or give out. When you have come through the time of testing, turn to your companions and give them a fresh start.”
When I look at these portions of scriptures, it’s a reminder of what’s happening in our generation and how Satan is asking for permission to sift us as wheat, in other words to make us lose passion, get comfortable or live in fear.
The opposite of passion means: uncaring, cold, coolness, hate, indifference, unconcern, apathy and un passionate.
Peter had become all of the above uncaring, unconcerned, cold and etc. It makes me think how did Peter get to that place. The Bible describes in Luke 22:54 that Peter began to follow Jesus at a distance, later on sat amongst the uncommitted and lastly, sat by the fire and warmed himself. Does this sound familiar? At times we too may follow at a distance to what’s taking place all over the world and even in our local churches. Maybe we are also amongst the uncommitted, and sitting in our seats warming them up. All of these things can cause us to lose our passion.
U.W.I.M. and G.A.N.G. Girls during this time of prayer and fasting let’s ask Jesus to strengthen us, stir us up again and renew our passion for the cause. Like never before there’s such an urgency for us to take our places. There’s cities, countries and continents that are waiting for us. Let’s stay Passionate!
