A LEGACY of Hope
Since our humble beginning in 1967, we have grown from one church to a worldwide network of over 700 churches and ministries, with locations across America and in 20 countries from the Philippines to the Netherlands.
We have grown into one of the largest inner-city ministries in the world, meeting the needs of people from all walks of life. For over 60 years, we have trained and equipped men and women to reach their full potential in life, whether it is establishing a church, building a career, or growing and nurturing a family.

THE GROWTH OF Victory Outreach
1967
REACHING LOS ANGELES
Our story began when Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni invited drug addicts from their local community into their own East LA home, sharing the basic truth of the Gospel: God loves you and He has the power to change your life.
1970s
REACHING CALIFORNIA
Members of Pastor Sonny's church felt an overwhelming sense of destiny and stepped out in faith, starting Victory Outreach churches across California with little financial support and no contacts in the cities they embraced.
1980s
REACHING AMERICA
We emerged to the forefront of mission-focused ministries. Churches were planted across America, spurring the next daring move: cross-cultural churches in Amsterdam and Mexico.
1990s
REACHING THE WORLD
A time of explosive growth both in the USA and abroad. A full one-third of all our churches planted are now overseas, adding a strong international dimension to our ministry, while our primary focus remains the inner cities of America.

Where It All Began
THE ALISO Village Story
In 1967, former heroin addict Sonny Arguinzoni and his wife Julie opened their East LA home to drug addicts from the Aliso Village housing projects. They had no building, no budget, and no plan, just a calling.
That radical act of faith launched a movement. Faith began to swell in the heart of every Victory Outreach member as our ministry expanded from a single home to a global network spanning six continents.
