Day 5

back to Fasting Section

Fast: Water & Juice until 1 p.m.

Now is the time!

Pray continually

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Pray without ceasing,

He is always ready to help and support His children. When I get up off my knees, I experience something very unusual: What James writes is true – the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective! (see James 5:16). Not only because God hears our prayers, but because we physically experience His strength hand support in our lives when we pray.

Through prayer, God’s children become strong and refreshed. Moreover, when you pray, God makes His wonder-working power available to you, so that you realize anew each day that you can do all things through Him who strengthens you (see Phil. 4:13)

This is why it is such a good thing to learn to pray continually. Every day, during your quiet time, you can be equipped with strength, so that you can face the problems and challenges of the day with God’s strength, guidance and wisdom. But you can also pray on your way to work, in the shower, or while cleaning the house.

God can be reached every moment of every day. Talk to Him continually, worship Him, praise Him, thank Him and feel free to ask Him for those things that you really want.

We pray for Pastor Sonny and Sis Julie and their family the Elders, Steer Committee, VO Family and Convention

Lord, I praise You for always being available to me, every moment of the day or night- and, making Your wonder-working power available to me when I pray. Thank You that I can pray continually, secure in the knowledge that you always listen. Amen
