ARE YOU EQUIPPED FOR YOUR PURPOSE?
“to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,” ESV
We are called to fight this Good fight of faith. But as we all know we cannot fight our enemy in our carnal being (our flesh). But through God, His son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit we are able to fight and win. When we go to our omnipotent source, our Father, there is nothing we cannot do. God equips us, clothes us; He arms us. Equip means to furnish for service, to make ready. So along with the love, desire, burden and the passion that God gives us, He also equips us to run this race and fight the good fight as long as we visit God’s armory, and that’s in His presence. His presence is where He equips us to fight, to grow, to work and to stand firm.
We have daily access to His authorized power; Power that’s there waiting for us to draw upon, to collect and to utilize for our daily battles and for the furtherance of the gospel.
God desires for us to draw close to Him. “He inhabits the praises of His people.” Ps 22:3. Where He abides (dwells), there His power is as well. It is there where His presence/Holy Spirit leads us, guides us and equips us for our daily battles. When we enter into His presence, we are spiritually charged like a cell phone; you would never walk alone in a strange, dark alley with your cell phone on 2%, therefore we should never leave our home with our prayer -battery life on 2%.
Let’s seek God daily through prayer & clothe ourselves daily with the full armor of God, drenched in His presence. “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord.” Zach. 4:6
When we are drenched in His presence, we are covered, therefore equipped and ready for every good work, task or duty that lies ahead. Let’s show up on the battlefield well equipped and prepared, lacking nothing, fit and ready for spiritual war.
